The new Razr 50 Ultra flip phone will get new Moto AI and Google AI features

Motorola is bringing the new Razr flip phone to the country after it made its global debut recently and it will have AI features baked into it.

Motorola has refreshed its Razr lineup with the launch of the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra folding smartphone in Indian market. The latest clamshell-style foldable handset was launched in China and select global markets last month.

The smartphone boasts a full-sized cover display with support for Google Gemini Assistant, allowing users to prompt the AI-powered assistant without having to flip open the phone. Other notable upgrades include a dual-camera system with a 2x zoom telephoto with a main wide-angle sensor and an IPX8 rating for dust and water resistance.

Motorola Razr 50 Ultra Price in India

As for the price, the Indian variant of the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra with 12GB RAM and 512GB on-board storage configuration starts at Rs 99,999. The flip-style foldable phone also comes bundled with Moto Buds Plus earphones. It will be available in Spring Green, Midnight Blue, and Peach Fuzz colour options.

Moreover, the company is also offering an early bird discount of Rs 5,000 for customers, which would bring the price down to Rs 94,999.

That’s not all, company is also offering a three-month subscription to Google’s One AI premium plan for no additional cost. This will give users access to Gemini Advanced features powered by Google’s latest AI models. The subscription also contains 2TB cloud storage space and Gemini AI integration into Google apps like Docs, Gmail, and more.

Motorola Razr 50 Ultra Specifications

The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. It comes with a dual-SIM (Nano SIM+ eSIM) that runs on Android 14 and sports a 6.9-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,640 pixels) LTPO pOLED main display with up to 165Hz refresh rate, up to 3000nits peak brightness, and 413ppi pixel density.

The device weighs 189 g and measures 73.99 x 171.42 x 7.09mm when opened, and 73.99 x 88.09 x 15.32mm when closed.

The cover display on the smartphone features a 4-inch (1,080×1,272 pixels) LTPO pOLED panel with up to 165Hz refresh rate, 1080p resolution, and HDR10+ support. It also has a vegan leather coating on the rear and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front.

For optics, the handset is equipped with a dual outer camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) support and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The foldable phone also claimed that it features a 32MP front camera that supports different shooting modes and different AI-powered tools like auto smile capture, action engine, and gesture capture.

In terms of connectivity options, the smartphone includes 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi 6E, A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The phone consists of three microphones and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication, along with a software-based face unlock feature.

The phone offers artificial intelligence features powered by Google Gemini, including Magic Eraser, which lets users remove unwanted objects from an image; Photo Unblur for image sharpening; and Portrait Light for improving the lighting and background for better portrait shots.

It comes equipped with a 4,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. It also comes with 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging. Motorola ships the phone along with a 68W charger.
