Gupt Navratri carries immense religious importance in Hinduism.

Devotees are recommended to perform Ghatsthapana on the Pratipada Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Magh.

Navratri is a revered occasion for worshipping Goddess Durga. It occurs four times in a year, with Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri being the prominent ones, while the other two – known as Gupt Navratri – occuring during the Magh and Ashada months. The first Gupt Navratri in 2024 commences on February 10, marking the Pratipada Tithi of Shukla Paksha. Devotees are recommended to perform Ghatsthapana on the Pratipada Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Magha, specifically on February 10. The auspicious timing for Ghatsthapana this year aligns with Dvi-Svabhava Meena Lagna.

Gupt Navratri 2024 auspicious timings:

– Pratipada Tithi: Begins on February 10 at 04:28 AM and ends on February 11 at 12:47 AM.

– Meena Lagna: Commences on February 10 at 08:09 AM and concludes at 09:43 AM.

– Ghatasthapana Muhurat: Occurs from February 10 from 08:09 AM to 09:43 AM.

– Ghatasthapana Abhijit Muhurat: Takes place on February 10, 2024, from 11:38 AM to 12:24 PM.

Gupt Navratri carries immense religious importance in Hinduism, as nine days are exclusively devoted to the worship of Goddess Durga. Devotees observe rituals and prayers over nine consecutive days and nights during this period. Navratri provides devotees with multiple opportunities to worship Maa Durga.

Gupt Navratri involves a discreet worship approach, directly linked with Tantra Vidhya. Sadhaks and Tantriks engage in hidden rituals, seeking blessings from Goddess Durga. This period is opportune for practitioners to achieve siddhi through activities like puja, hawan, chanting tantrik and shabar mantras, meditation, hatha yoga, and observing rigorous fasts.

Gupt Navratri 2024 Rituals:

1. Begin your day with an early morning holy bath before initiating any puja ceremonies.

2. Thoroughly clean your house, paying special attention to your puja room.

3. Wear clean traditional attire and set up the altar by placing a wooden plank in your chosen location.

4. Position an idol of Goddess Durga and illuminate a diya with pure desi ghee.

5. Adorn the idol with a garland, dupatta, tilak, and sindoor. Place a Kalash filled with water, spread some rice, and position the Kalash with a coconut on top.

6. Recite Vedic Mantras to invoke the idol, followed by performing puja to seek blessings.

7. Maintain a day-long fast, breaking it in the evening with sattvik food suitable for fasting.

8. In the evening, engage in another puja session to worship the Goddess and conclude with an aarti.
