Mumbai, May 17: TVS Motor Company on Friday introduced the Black edition for its popular Apache RTR 160 series. Bringing the all-black colour scheme of both 160cc streetfighter models, the Apache RTR 160 carries a price tag of Rs. 1,20,420 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Apache RTR 160 4V costs Rs. 1,24,870 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Both the editions remain mechanically the same as the standard variants. TVS iQube ST With Two Battery Packs Launched in India.
With the all-black treatment, both the motorcycles feature a black glossy finish with the brand’s logo on the fuel tank. Moreover, ‘Apache’ and ‘RTR 160 4V’ stickers on the side panel and rear give a stealthy appeal. The black theme is extended further to body panels, mudguards and the exhaust, enhancing the overall aesthetics.

Feature-wise, the motorcycles are one of the loaded offerings in the segment. It has three riding modes(Sport, Urban, and Rain), a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity for select variants, LED headlamps, LED taillamps, glide through technology (GTT), and much more.
As mentioned above, there are no mechanical changes for the Black edition of the Apache 160 series. They continue to use the same 160 cc engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The RTR 160 2V has a 159.7cc single-cylinder SOHC 2V air-cooled engine making 15.82 bhp and 13.85 Nm. The Apache RTR 160 4V gets the same 159.7cc single-cylinder SOHC 4V oil-cooled engine that churns 17.31 bhp of maximum power with a peak torque of 14.73 Nm.
