Apple Watch Ultra 3 could look different but its feature upgrades might be zero

Apple Watch Ultra 2 is now selling without the health features enabled in the US and the Ultra 3 model is unlikely to see big changes.

Apple iPhone 16 series is launching this year and everyone is excited for what’s to come. New developments talk about the Apple Watch Ultra 3 which could be part of the iPhone 16 series launch somewhere in September. But the main news about the new model might not get people excited and rightly so.

The good news is that Apple Watch Ultra 3 will make its appearance this year, which was doubtful sometime back. But the bad news is that the Watch Ultra 3 model will barely get any new hardware upgrades from the company, according to known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo this week.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 Launch In 2024: What Reports Say

Kuo has talked about having almost no hardware upgrades on the Watch Ultra 3 model which means people who have been saving to buy the new variant can probably consider buying the Watch Ultra 2 instead. The analyst doesn’t clearly say if the new model will see design changes but for many eagerly waiting for the new Ultra variant would now be rethinking their plans.

Apple has seen its overall device sale come down which directly impacts its revenues from the division. It also doesn’t help the company which had to stop selling Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 in the US this year owing to the patent case filed by Masimo.

It seems that the ‘no hardware upgrades’ on the Watch Ultra 3 is linked to this case in some way, which would be disappointing for the fan boys but could allow Apple to plan for something different with the 2025 Apple Watch Ultra X model which has been previously reported.

Apple Watch is the legit health tracker that has helped people over the years and Apple will now have to use a new strategy and tech to make a strong case for its claims.
